Light-rail (Stadtbahn) lines 8 and 18 serve Messe/Nord, with a journey time of around 18 minutes from the central station.

During major trade fairs, selected long-distance and regional trains also stop at Hannover Messe/Laatzen, adjacent to the West 1 entrance. Timetables and ticket arrangements vary by event; consult the organiser's latest travel guidance before departure.

Today, Hannover is closely associated with leading events across manufacturing, logistics, mobility, flooring, woodworking and emergency services.
